Mary's Garden   
 

Master Gardener Mary has been buying and planting at this location for 36 years. She seeks out  unusual trees and shrubs. Her arboretum includes an infinitely varied assortment of sizes, shapes, textures and colors.  One has to  really look carefully to see hidden treasures blending together on this 8 acre grounds.

A part of the garden is a nature trail  winding through her woodlands just waiting to be explored. She has planted numerous rhododendrons, camellias, ferns, dawn redwoods, unusual trees and shrubs among the native hardwoods and pines.  Fall brings lots of color with sourwoods, sassafras, stewartia, Japanese maples,  and dogwoods.
As you tour with Mary, she will identify the plants by botanical names and tell you what country it originated in.
